THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 15th : Ellie Jones Band with Danny Moss Jr. 8.30pm

Vocalist/Guitarist Ellie Jones is Swansea based

Ellie’s vintage vocals have been inspired by the jazz greats such as Ella, Sarah Vaughan, blossom dearie and Anita O’day. Her style is sweet and simple but with heartfelt authenticity. 

Her all star Band includes British born, but now Australian based double bassist Danny Moss Jr. 

Danny is son of Saxophone legend Danny Moss Senior. An Internationally renowned double bassist Danny Moss Jnr is an unashamed disciple of the great Ray Brown. Time, tone, swing, and variation of lines depending on the soloist are the hallmark of his playing. Danny’s propulsive lines and ‘long note’ style have earned him a considerable reputation. Indeed before his passing John Critchinson one of Europe’s top piano players and long-time member of our very own Ronnie Scott’s quartet , dubbed Danny ‘The Pathfinder’ due to his driving and harmonically sympathetic bass lines.
